Someone asked whether we would be open about BDSM "if it were legal". Well... it isn't just a matter of legality, also of social acceptance. But if BDSM was entirely legal and socially acceptable, if being open about it carried no social consequences, hell yes! I would definitely be open about it.

My Friend’s Birthday 'Vanilla' Party Turns Kinky

I just wound up a friend’s birthday party in my house. She wanted a theme. So I suggested that we have a slutty party. It was an all women's party, mostly queer women. I thought it was a good chance to wear the leopard pattern corset I had borrowed from S, a friend, and had virtually made my own now, and also to decorate my living room with all my tools.

I have often heard from many kinksters that the practice of kink is illegal in India. That if you are found to be practicing BDSM, you can be arrested, or keeping toys like a flogger or handcuffs is not safe and you can be prosecuted. This view is mostly prevalent among the members of the online social networking communities I have interacted with in the last 10 years.
